BD Alaris EtCO2 Module 8300
The BD Alaris EtCO2 Module 8300 provides continuous respiratory monitoring by measuring CO2 levels, including exhaled EtCO2, inhaled FiCO2, and respiratory rate. This side-stream capnography system draws a small gas sample—about 15 microliters—through a micro-sample cell from either a ventilator disposable or directly from the patient. Moisture and patient secretions are effectively filtered out by the microstream inline filter, ensuring that the CO2 waveform remains intact. This module is designed to enhance patient safety by reducing risks associated with opioid infusions and to offer flexible, customizable profiles that work across different patient care areas. Its sampling lines eliminate the need for moving parts, external sensors, or frequent calibration, and it supports a wide range of sampling needs, whether oxygen is being delivered or not.
