Alaris IMED Gemini PC-1
The Alaris IMED Gemini PC-1 is a neat single-channel volumetric infusion pump and controller that’s built to deliver IV drugs and fluids with high accuracy. It’s pretty versatile – you can use it as either a pump or a controller. When it’s in controller mode, it senses the pressure created by the height of the fluid container (which it uses as the occlusion pressure limit). In pump mode, the occlusion pressure is preset at about 10 ±2 psi. You can set the infusion rate anywhere from 0.1 mL/hr to 999 mL/hr, which gives you loads of flexibility whether you need a super fine adjustment or a bigger flow.
Other cool features include the ability to run a secondary (piggyback) infusion with its own independent infusion parameters, so you can manage two infusions without mixing up the settings. Plus, it comes with a large, easy-to-read display, making it user-friendly even during hectic situations.
