The ConMed HelixAR Electrosurgical Generator with Argon Beam Coagulation (ABC®) is an advanced, standalone head unit designed for both open and laparoscopic procedures. It leverages proprietary Dynamic Response Technology to adjust energy delivery in real time—responding to tissue impedance changes in less than 10 milliseconds. This rapid response minimizes unintentional tissue charring and reduces thermal damage while promoting rapid, superficial hemostasis. By using argon gas to cool tissue during RF energy delivery, the HelixAR achieves precise, uniform coagulation with less blood loss and improved eschar integrity. The unit also features a programmable interface that can store up to 100 custom settings and allows remote power control via an electrosurgical pencil.
