Philips Affiniti 50
Imagine a magical camera that helps doctors see inside your body in amazing detail! The Philips Affiniti 50 is a high-quality ultrasound system that gives clear images for many different types of exams. It’s built on the same smart design as the Affiniti 70 and even shares many cool features with the Epiq series. Although it doesn’t include a single crystal probe or offer Shearwave elastography, it still packs a lot of advanced tools into one smart machine.
This ultrasound is great for many areas such as the abdomen, blood vessels, muscles and bones (MSK), urology, heart (cardiology), small parts, breast, obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatrics. One of its best features is exceptional 3D imaging with advanced tools like TruVue, which lets doctors adjust light and shadow to reveal fine details. It even offers a special 4D “babyface” imaging mode for viewing babies in real time!
The system comes with a bright 21-inch monitor and a handy 12-inch touchscreen display, making it easy for doctors to see and work with the images. With four active transducer ports, it can connect to more than ten different transducers and probes. Additional smart features include:
- SonoCT Compound Imaging: For sharper, clearer pictures.
- XRES Speckle Reduction Imaging: To reduce noise in the images.
- AutoSCAN and AutoDoppler: Helping to automate the imaging process.
- Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound: To better see blood flow and details.
- AIUS Anatomical Intelligence Ultrasound: Offering extra help for accurate diagnosis.
- Advanced Cardiac Tools: Including automated 2D cardiac quantification, cardiac motion quantification, and IMT calculations for a detailed look at the heart.
- Stress Echo and Pediatric Cardiology: Specialized modes for heart exams and for young patients.
- Sleep Mode: Making it easy to transport the machine from room to room.
Technically, the Affiniti 50 is robust too. It features a 21.5-inch monitor that can swivel 180° and adjust in height by 8 inches, operates on 100-240 VAC power, and supports various video and data connections (like HDMI, Ethernet, USB, and wireless). With a monitor resolution of 1920 x 1080, a 512 GB hard drive, and a max cine memory of 2,200 frames, this system can capture images up to 30 cm deep at a max frame rate of 1400 fps. All of these features come together to provide quick, efficient, and reliable diagnostic imaging.
