The Physio-Control Lifepak 20 is a handheld defibrillator/monitor engineered for rapid, effective resuscitation and continuous patient monitoring. In manual mode, it delivers up to 360 joules of energy and supports synchronous cardioversion and noninvasive pacing, giving clinicians full control of the defibrillation process. In AED mode, its integrated Shock Advisory System analyzes the patient’s ECG, advising whether to deliver a shock, while voice prompts and on-screen messages guide the operator through the defibrillation process.

The device features a bright color display that shows waveforms for 3-lead ECG, alphanumeric values, and detailed device instructions. It also supports additional monitoring functions such as pulse oximetry, noninvasive blood pressure, end-tidal CO₂, and invasive pressure, ensuring comprehensive patient surveillance.
